Abstract

This article brings to light the flaws in the Lord of the Rings, from printing errors to plot points that were never addressed. Author John Abbott brings up several of these questions, including death dates that do not line up with lore and departure dates for the land beyond the sea. He also discusses some questions left unanswered, like where are the two blue wizards, what are their names, a what happens to them? And what happens to Radagast? He contends that these criticisms and questions do not make the Lord of the Rings a bad book, far on the contrary. His biggest question is where is the true ring? Supposedly, the ring that was destroyed was an imitation of the true ring. He ends this article by discussing an upcoming addition in a later edition of the Mallorn.
